The New ALN / Company History
American LegalNet was formed in 1996 when Erez Bustan, the founder
and president, recognized a need for a unified online interface for
legal professionals. This interface would be a common location where
attorneys could easily access primary case law and supporting judicial
forms.
Today, via its FormsWorkflow Web site (www.formsworkflow.com), American
LegalNet publishes and maintains what is recognized as the preeminent
collection of national forms. Currently this database includes over
60,000 unique court, judicial and agency forms covering ALL jurisdictions
in the United States.
Currently American LegalNet is the “Official Publisher” of record
for The California Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) Judicial
Counsel Forms. In addition American LegalNet has been recognized
as a forms publisher for a number of other states and agencies such
as the Florida State Bar and the International Association of Commercial
Administrators (IACA).
In 2007 the company introduced eFilingPortal (www.efilingportal.com),
a comprehensive electronic filing product designed with attorneys
and support staff in mind. This new product integrates directly
with the existing FormsWorkflow product. eFilingPortal enables attorneys
and support staff and provides the functionality to access up-to-date
court and agency rules, locate process servers and complete their
electronic filing from a single point of interface.
American LegalNet’s most recent product offering is the recently
announced eDockets system. eDockets is an easy-to-use central calendaring
system which will also manage the critical dates associated with
complex litigation or case load. eDockets also provides access to
updated court rules in many jurisdictions.
