American LegalNet Hosts Successful Law Firm CIO Risk Management Forums Across THE U.S.
Luncheons focus on aiding the growth and future of law firm risk management planning
Los Angeles - June 30, 2010 - Los Angeles-based American LegalNet (ALN), the premier provider of “Desktop to Courthouse” workflow technologies that reduce risk and minimize cost, hosted exclusive, invitation-only Law Firm CIO Risk Management Forums across the U.S. during the first half of 2010. Attendees and presenters agree the events were a success.
The luncheons were held in cities across the country, including Chicago, New York, Tampa, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
Speakers included:
- Edward J O’Connell - Chief Financial Officer - Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP
- Richard Supple – Partner - Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP
- William Hamilton - Partner - Quarles & Brady LLP
- Barry E. Cohen - Partner - Crowell & Moring LLP
Attendees were given the opportunity to learn and share information on the importance of using technology to reduce law firm liability risk as well as network with their peers.
The speakers were selected by American LegalNet and the CIO Advisory Board based on their expertise and experience on risk management issues facing law firms today. When asked what the speakers thought of the events, we heard the following:
"ALN's CIO forum in New York was a great opportunity for me to share ideas about cutting-edge risk management issues affecting the largest and most sophisticated law firms in the country," stated Richard Supple, Partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP.
William Hamilton, Partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, stated, “The CIO forum was a unique and vibrant opportunity for a frank, open conversation about real problems and real solutions.”
"I was pleased to be asked to speak to a group of CIOs of large Washington, D.C. law firms about the use of technology in law firm risk management and ethics compliance,” stated Barry Cohen, Partner at Crowell & Moring LLP. “Law firms that don't keep up with technology in these areas greatly increase their civil liability and ethics exposure."
“We are very happy with the outcome of these events,” stated Erez Bustan, CEO of American LegalNet. “We were honored with the caliber of speakers we had for these forums and have had feedback from the attendees that these events offered them the ability to learn, have interactive discussions, and network with their peers.”
“Due to the successful outcome and feedback we received from both attendees and speakers of the forums, we are excited to announce the continuation of this program with quarterly webinars in 2010 and regional in-person forums in 2011,” continued Bustan.
