ALN received the silver award for eDockets in the Docketing & Calendaring Application category by Law Technology News subscribers.
The awards were handed out during the Seventh Annual LTN Awards cocktail reception on February 1, 2010, at the New York Hilton during LegalTech New York.
LTN Awards recognize the best technology use - and users - in the legal profession. Law Technology News subscribers voted for eDockets as one of the leading Docketing and Calendaring Applications. eDockets centralizes docket calendaring and includes a comprehensive library of court rules in multiple jurisdictions as well as an Auto Docket® feature for automated calendaring and critical data management.
eDockets has been updated to reflect the changes that took place to the federal rules effective December 1, 2009.
All the federal rules change the way that dates are calculated beginning December 1, 2009. This change affects every single set of court rules for:
-
Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure
- Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
ALN continually monitors the rules and updates them based on the most recent amendments to ensure up-to-date and pertinent information. We have amended all of the federal court rules sets to bring them current with the new date calculations that went into effect December 1, 2009. In addition to having all the updated rules available in eDockets, clients now also have the relevant links to the latest updated federal forms.
In addition to providing the most up-to-date content, we also offer the enhanced ability to set end dates and times. Now an attorney’s calendar will accurately reflect the amount of time an appointment may take. For example, when a deposition is docketed to last for three hours, the attorney’s calendar will accurately reflect a three hour appointment.
More information and an explanation of the court rules can be found at http://www.uscourts.gov/rules/presentations.html.
